Testimonials:

  • I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie for the first time last week and, let me tell you, she does not leave ANY room for improvement!!! As a massage therapist myself, I am constantly seeking someone who truly listens to my problems and focuses accordingly, which she absolutely did. For the first time in a really long time, I did not feel as though my shoulders were up by my ears, and my neck did not hurt in simply just sitting. Even though my main problem was in my neck, I left RVA Massage feeling less tense all over. I will CERTAINLY be back to see Stephanie!!
          ~A.S..
  • "This was the best massage experience I've ever had in Richmond and one of the best massages I've ever received. I love the vibe at RVA M/W and found Stephanie to be knowledgeable, kind, and truly gifted at what she does. Thanks so much!"
          ~M.H.
  • I am loathe to tell others about Stephanie's skill as it may make it more difficult for me to schedule an appointment, but nonetheless, she is at the very pinnacle of massage therapists that I have experienced (and that's quite a few). She targeted my trouble spot (IT band) and by the time I left, I was virtually pain-free. Excellent technique, pressure and very knowledgeable, I was so impressed that I have purchased a package for the new year!
          ~W.W.
  • “As a former NCAA athlete and retired Marine, I have over-used many of my joints. Massage therapy has been a part of my routine for health management for quite some time as a consequence and Stephanie is absolutely the best at her profession I have met, anywhere (and that includes Japan and China!). I particularly appreciate the attention she pays to stretching and toning the supporting musculature around my knees. I absolutely recommend her services- she is the best!”          ~J.M.
  • “Stephanie Quinby is just amazing! Last year when I had a rotator cuff injury and was healing very slowly with physical therapy, her massage treatments speeded up recovery greatly. With her help, I was able to gain mobility in that joint, and much of the pain was eased. Now that my injury had healed, regular massage helps alleviate soreness caused by stress and too many hours at the computer. Stephanie has a knack for finding the areas in which I hold tension and working that tension out. I would highly recommend Stephanie to anyone considering massage. She is a skilled and caring health care professional. ” ~K.D.
  • “I am very pleased with Stephanie Quinby as my massage therapist. She is always on time and has a very relaxing atmosphere to her massage room. Stephanie always asks if I would like the table to be warm or not. She makes note of what is going on in my body at the time. Then she uses a variety of types of massages that will be most beneficial to me. In the end, I feel relaxed and better than when I arrived there. She has good tips on how to work on certain problems myself during the week. I am very pleased with such a capable therapist.”      ~E.P.
  • “I have been receiving massages from Stephanie for the past 2 years for low back pain and related issues. She is an intuitive and compassionate massage therapist who individualizes each therapeutic massage as to what my body needs. Her knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body paired with her organic ability to intuitively sense the underlying status of the musculature makes each massage she gives a refuge from pain and physical suffering. I would highly recommend Stephanie to anyone wanting to heal their body from injury or who just want to find relief from the effects of stress. You’re in great hands!” ~T.B. – Happy client

Her massage specialties include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and sports massage. She feels that massage is not just a tool to help the mind and body feel good, but it is also a necessary modality in the rehabilitation of any injury.

Testimonials:

  • As an avid runner and exerciser, I live with constant aches and pains. For years, friends and family members have suggested getting massages to ease some of the discomfort. However, I did my best to avoid them, fearing discomfort or awkwardness. Sari Cattoni, a co-worker and friend, has completely changed my perception of massage. About a month ago, Sari asked if I would be one of her clients at massage school. I reluctantly agreed, and was frankly dreading the experience. I was nervous about pain, or just feeling uncomfortable with someone touching me. For years I had convinced myself that massages were just a waste of time, energy, and money. Sari was completely professional from the start. She went over a survey with me about what body parts I did not want massaged, or what areas that I would like her to work on. I felt totally at ease due to her calm demeanor. She explained the entire process to me before we started so there were no surprises.  During the massage, I was surprised that I did not feel uncomfortable. In fact, the massage was extremely relaxing and I caught myself falling asleep. Sari was professional throughout the entire process and made me rethink my opinion of massage. I look forward to getting regular massages in the future. I would highly recommend Sari Cattoni as a masseuse.
  • I have had the pleasure of receiving a massage from Sari Cattoni. She is great at finding points of stress and has the ability to massage at just the right pressure to relieve any tension you might have walked in with. She conducts her massages in very professional manner and is extremely attuned to her client’s requisitions. She has an extended knowledge of anatomy and skeletal muscle structures and puts that knowledge to good practice during her massages. I would recommend a massage from Sari any day to anyone.

Mark has been involved in martial arts, strength training and nutrition for many years and draws upon his experience and training to provide intuition inspired massage using several modalities with primary focus on deep tissue, clinical and sports performance enhancement/recovery. Mark has worked with several Chiropracters and Physical Therapists and specializes in neck and lower back issues and now provides services primarily at RVA Massage and Wellness.

Mark also provides mobile massage services, is available most evenings and some weekends.

Testimonials:

  • Mark Glass gives a fabulous massage and he is so knowledgeable about the body and how it works. I have issues with my lower spine and he knows how to stretch that area and increase the blood flow. Plus, he takes the time to recommend some stretches I can do at home.  I have had massages all over town, thanks to the Groupon vouchers- and he is really one of the best . I highly recommend him.
  • As the owner and operator of a holistic health center here in the West End for 20 years, I have had the pleasure of working with some very talented massage therapists. Without reservation I can say that Mark Glass belongs to that group, and possesses some unique skills which he brings to the table. While working with my patients, he quickly developed a devout following of those preferring his non-traditional style of stretching and active range of motion techniques combined with gentle yet firm massage.     ~Dr. Michael Wild
  • I saw Mark Glass for chronic achiness on the left side of my neck and shoulder. He eliminated my problem in 2 ninety minute sessions!  My pain is completely gone!  My vitality was draining because I had been suffering with this pain in my neck and shoulder daily for four to six months.  Having used chiropractic, energy therapy, pain relieving gels-oils- creams, pillows of every shape and filling, and everything else I could think of, a friend referred me to Mark and I decided to give it a try.  In the first session, I experienced a deep relaxation response from his focus on full body balance techniques.  The deep relaxation, along with Mark’s expertise in myofascial release made a world of difference for me.  My pain level reduced dramatically in that first session from a constant 6 or 7 down to a 3 or 4 on a pain scale of 1 to 10.  And the pain did not increase but stayed at that lower level between appointments.  After the second appointment with Mark, my neck and shoulders felt light, flexible, with a better range of motion and free of ache and pain.  It’s been a couple of months now, and my good health continues!  So, from personal experience, I can (and do) highly recommend Mark Glass, CMT to clients, family and friends.   –R.P.  CHTP
  • I have been benefitting from massages from Mark Glass both while he was in training and since he has become a CMT.  As an RN who has been getting regular professional massages for over 30 years,  I am impressed by his continually growing skills and his sensitive, respectful approach, along with his ability to individualize the massage work to the person's needs.  I have referred my closest friends to Mark with confidence that they will have a positive and healing experience.     ~D.D. RN
